Exercise Library: 873 Movements, Searchable by Muscle
IRONSLOG includes an exercise library of 873 movements, each with step-by-step instructions, primary and secondary muscles worked, equipment needed and a difficulty level, searchable by name and filterable by muscle group, equipment and level so you can find a movement you can actually do with what’s in front of you.
What’s in the exercise library besides the exercise name?
Every one of the 873 exercises lists its primary and secondary muscles worked, the equipment required, a difficulty level (beginner, intermediate or expert), a category (strength, stretching, plyometrics, strongman, powerlifting, cardio or olympic weightlifting) and numbered step-by-step instructions, with reference photos where available.
How do the filters actually narrow the list?
Three filter rows — muscle group (17 options, from abdominals to traps), equipment (12 options, from bodyweight-only to barbell, dumbbell, cable, machine and kettlebells) and level (beginner, intermediate, expert) — combine with a live text search, so "no equipment, beginner, chest" returns exactly that slice of the 873 exercises instead of the whole list.
Where do these exercises come from?
The library and its photos are built on free-exercise-db, a public-domain exercise dataset — see the about page for the full methodology and attribution. IRONSLOG doesn’t claim to have shot or written the underlying movement data itself.
