AI Workout Planner: A Weekly Split from Four Questions
IRONSLOG’s AI workout planner asks your goal, training experience, available equipment and training days per week, then drafts a full weekly split — exercises, sets, reps and starting weights — pulled from the 873-exercise library and shown for review before it’s applied to your plan. AI plan generation is currently in beta.
What does the AI workout planner need to know?
Four things: your training goal, your experience level, the equipment you actually have access to, and how many days a week you can train. It filters the 873-exercise library down to movements that fit your equipment and level before drafting anything, so a bodyweight-only answer doesn’t come back with a barbell squat.
What exactly do I get back, and is it applied automatically?
A full weekly split — which day trains which movement pattern (push, pull, legs, upper, lower, full body), which exercises, and starting sets, reps and weights for each. It’s shown as a complete plan for you to review before it lands on your calendar; nothing is scheduled without your review. This feature is currently in beta.
What if I’d rather not use AI generation at all?
A 12-week starter template is one tap away for anyone who wants to begin training today without answering any questions, and every plan — AI-drafted or template-based — can be edited by hand afterward, or built completely from scratch in the plan editor.
| Input | Effect on the draft |
|---|---|
| Goal | Shapes rep ranges and exercise selection |
| Experience level | Filters which exercises from the 873-movement library are eligible |
| Equipment available | Filters exercises to what you actually have access to |
| Training days per week | Sets how many day types the weekly split covers |

- Exercise selection is filtered to your stated equipment and level before anything is drafted.
- The full plan is shown for review — it is never applied to your calendar automatically.
- AI workout plan generation is currently in beta; a 12-week starter template is available without it.
